Founded in 1947, the University of Strathclyde Business School (SBS) is a pioneering, internationally renowned academic organisation that shapes and develops the business minds of tomorrow.

Strathclyde is a triple accredited business school: the only business school in Scotland, and one of only 48 in the world, to be triple accredited, holding accreditation from the international bodies, AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS.

In addition to our international accreditation, Strathclyde has a reputation for research excellence. Most recently, in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, Strathclyde Business School was rated 1st in Scotland and 7th in the UK.

Strathclyde Business School is one of four faculties forming the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and offers the highest quality business education and management development from inexperienced graduates to senior executives.

As one of the largest institutions of its kind in Europe, with around 200 academic staff and more than 3000 full-time students (undergraduate and postgraduate), Strathclyde Business School’s 11 subject departments and specialist units collaborate to provide a dynamic, fully-rounded and varied programme of specialist and cross-disciplinary postgraduate courses.

SBS is known for its innovation in business and management education, pioneering developments in undergraduate teaching, the MBA and the Doctorate of Business Administration. We pioneered the study of Marketing, and initiated cross-disciplinary studies in Technology and Business Studies and International Business and Modern Languages.

We introduced new methods of study for the MBA in the UK, and our pioneering spirit took the Strathclyde MBA into many new countries via the establishment of international centres, of which there are now nine, in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia.

Our latest international venture has seen Strathclyde Business School joining with SKIL Infrastructure Limited to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate management courses at Greater Noida, New Delhi. The first course – Masters in Management - is to be launched as of the 2011-12 academic year.
